Due to expanding service provision North Yell Development Council (NYDC) is recruiting an Environment, Renewables and Sustainable Transport Officer. The role will include acting as the Community Development Officer for the Carbon Neutral Islands (CNI) Project in Yell and assisting in the establishment and operation of a renewable energy and transport hub at Sellafirth, as well as the day-to-day operation of environment related projects, one off assignments and providing support for community organisations and households.
This is a full-time position, initially for a period of 12 months. Salary £29,160. Flexible and remote working available. Relocation package available.

Retail Assistant- Cullivoe Shop
Full and part time retail assistant required to work within our busy local shop, applicants will be responsible for serving of customers, stocking and cleaning of shelves, taking customer orders, cashing up at the end of the day.
They must also have good communication skills, be competent with IT products, answering phone and have good people skills.
The successful applicants will need to be organised and havea desciplined work ethic, with the ability to wrok as part of a time and under their own initiative when required.
Opening hours are 9-5 Mon- Wed
9-6 Thurs and Fri with Saturdays being 10-4.

Seasonal Museum Assistants- Old Haa Burravoe
The Museum seeks to open 7 days a week, from early April to the beginning of October, Monday to Saturday 10.00am - 4.00pm and Sunday 2.00pm – 5.00pm.
The Trustees are looking to hire a small number of staff to work within these times. Days and hours to be agreed based on mutual availability.
Duties include general day to day running of the Museum, shop and tearoom. An interest in local history and heritage is advantageous, but not essential.
Full training will be provided.
Hourly rate - National Living Wage.
